In order to consolidate the achievement from the CSR essay competition, and provide a platform for students to improve communication and responsible leadership, CIBE held the annual "Summer Camp of Collegiate Social Responsibility" from 2010 on. Each year, we involve around 15 institutions to share their responsible practice, like Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace, Macrolink Group, Lenovo, Total Group, Bosch China, Luxembourg Embassy, Tasly Pharmaceutical Group, Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and so on.
Each year, we recruit 35-40 students from the alliance universities. Most campers are student leaders with positive engagement in CSR related events. In2013, CIBE brought together the students from the billionaire family and the students from the Essay Competition. This would allow participants from different family background to learn from each other. Two weeks of daily interaction is more powerful than teaching. By participating in lectures, workshops and interacting with managers, students learned hands-on experience andgot abetter understanding ofthe practical side of Social Responsibility. With time, we expect those campers to turn out as a strong and positive force of Chinese society.
