March 5, 2021, CIBE director Prof. Dr. Baocheng Liu delivered a keynote in the 4th International Faith-based Investment Conference: Walk the Talk Asia Focus. The conference is organized by the Geneva Agape Foundation headquartered in Switzerland, dedicated to invite worldwide experts to discuss the development and prospect of global faith-based and impact investment. In his keynote, Prof. Liu elaborated on the recent development of China’s outbound investment, especially along the Belt and Road and in impact investment related areas. In light of the new development of global political and economic environment, and impact of Covid-19, global investment is under much pressure, however, benefiting from ongoing rebalancing of its own outbound investment and effective control of the pandemic, China has contributed much to the global impact investment, including infrastructure and new energy. Without doubt, China is still learning by doing in investing overseas, with its huge investment in achieving its promises concerning UN SDGs, China is on its way to contribute more to the global impact investment development.
