March 19, 2021, the “Intercultural Business Ethics Course” co-designed and co-organized by the CIBE at the University of International Business and Economics, Lucern University of Applied Science and Arts in Switzerland, Milpark Education and University of Johannesburg in South Africa, is officially launched with an online kick-off meeting. This intercultural course is tailored towards to the around 200 MBA students from the four universities. Based on the teaching of business ethics theories and models, the course emphasizes the analysis, ethical reasoning and decision making of issues concerning business ethics and corporate social responsibility in the intercultural context. Within the process, the students will be assigned to intercultural project teams, with the coaching from the mentors, the teams will dive into dialogue and debate on selected business ethics cases, and present the final report. The course aims to enhance the intercultural communication, critical thinking and ethical decision making capabilities of the participants, in order to facilitate the ethical leadership in the globalized and intercultural business environment.
