Today we went to the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) auditorium. Despite the gloomy weather, we were overly excited because of the political authority it represented.
We first entered into the southeast hall --- a small but dedicated area for small dinner parties, press conferences, and movie premieres. Next, we visited the famous hall on the second floor which we commonly saw on TV. The annual New Year’s tea party and other banquets are held in it. We also went to see the conference hall where members of CPPCC have their meetings.
After that, we arrived at the CPPCC Culture and History Museum established the year before. It demonstrated the development of CPPCC through photos, videos, and articles. I was amazed by a short film we were shown called Shining Names. It exhibited prior presidents and delegates of CPPCC who contributed a great deal to China. I witnessed that the successful people would focus on his/her own development while simultaneously focusing on the nation’s future. In my opinion, no one can grow up without social resources, so everyone should therefore repay society by taking responsibility of the community.
