On July 28th afternoon, collegiate CSR summer camp had the honor to invite Ms Mao Nini, from China Foundation for Development of Financial Education, and the trainee manager from Hengjiu Wealth Management, Jin Lu, to give campers the DISC Personality Test. In order to let the campers to treat others in the way others prefer, they introduced the characteristics of different personality traits, and explained how to get along with different types. The students actively participated in the test, and gradually understood other students in the game.
Ms Jin firstly let the students write some words with their left hand and right hand respectively, then took this as an example to illustrate that personality, in and for itself, is neither good nor bad, neither right nor wrong just as the words written by left hand and right hand, and the reason of the difference is people’s preference. Afterwards, according to the result of the personality test, Ms Jin divided the students into four groups---group D, group I, group S, group C. The four groups displayed different features, especially when they showed their solutions to the same problem. Different groups provided various ways to show their panel discussion results, and the applause from other groups pushed the class to a new high. In the end, Ms Mao detailed the characteristics of the four different personality traits, and the students concentrated on the explanation so as to better know their roles in a team and learn more about how to get along with others.
Through this activity, the campers got a better understanding of themselves and character difference. What’s more, the students understood how to treat others in the way others prefer. The activity was very successful, and they enjoyed much, learned much, which is bound to help a lot in their study and work in the future.
