In the afternoon of July 29th, Mr. Wang, the General Manager China of PlaNet Finance whose mission is to contribute to poverty alleviation through micro credits came to the summer camp to give an interesting lecture. The main points of his lecture were to explain “what is Social Enterprise?” and “what is the meaning of CSR?” The lecture combined with panel discussion greatly aroused the enthusiasm of the students. As the result, the students were motivated to express their opinions and asked many questions about their concerns. In the meantime, the debate between different groups was quite intense.
The campers got a deeper understanding of PlaNet Finance, and learned the more profound meaning of Social Enterprise and CSR through the lecture. What is more, many of the students wanted to be interns in PlaNet Finance, not only for getting more experiences, but also for finding a target domain for their future study.
