In order to enhance our sense of social responsibility and cultivate the team cooperation spirit, summer camp arranged outward bound for us in the suburb of Beijing on August 1st. The coach-Hao Yubo who was responsible for our training, taught us a deeper meaning of teamwork through games and vivid explanations. In his opinion, teamwork is a concept covers goal, cooperation, coordination, and trust; What’s more, it helps to make the right choices during our pursuit of happiness and our escape from suffering.
After the theory explanation, Mr. Hao divided us into two teams, Sword Team and Triumph Team, to experience Trust Fall and High Altitude Crossing. Through the two training, we had a deeper understanding of teamwork and the sense of responsibility.
After lunch, we went back to the training ground to have a fierce combination of brains and physical strength. Mr. Hao arranged a warm-up game named “supersonic” and a contest in pentathlon-“playing a ball on the drum”, “the forest do not fall”, “the team in one mind”, “power train”, and “we are the best team”(the name of the competition).
While the Sword Team had an excellent performance and won three straight games during “supersonic”, the Triumph Team won the pentathlon contest at last with one minute ahead. At first, we all knew nothing about the games, however, through our exploration and practice combined with our tacit cooperation we did a super job in the end.
In the end of the outward bound, Mr. Hao explained the training in the morning and the afternoon.
We all agreed that the most important was not who won the game but learned how to overcome our own during the competition. Confronting with a challenge we had never met or even an impossible task, each individual tried to overcome the difficulties and encouraged each other, and at last finished the task as two teams. That alone would make everyone feel proud.
Thanks for CIBE to provide such a wonderful platform for us and give us the opportunity to grow together.
