The Sino-Africa Centre of Excellence (SACE) Foundation was established in February 2013, aimed at creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences between China and Africa, in the area of business development, trade and investments, and entrepreneurship. The SACE Research Hub is an applied research think tank that aims to promote the exploration of knowledge and objectivity by providing timely, empirical research and contextual analysis of relevant Sino-Africa interactions for policy-makers, business leaders and academic institutions.
Research Hub’s current initiatives include:
- Business Perception Index-Kenya 2014: Based on survey with 75 Chinese companies in Kenya, analyze the conditions of the local investment climate and how these conditions affect productivity and growth of Chinese companies in Kenya.
In January 2015, CIBE works with SACE on the research and practice of CSR Performance of Chinese oversea investment in Africa, to contribute to the sustainable investment and development in Africa.
