The opening ceremony taking place in University of International Business and Economics marked the start of the Sixth College Students Green Entrepreneurship Summer Camp. Organized by Center for International Business Ethics (CIBE), the Summer Camp aimed at promoting the initiative spirit and social responsibility of Chinese college students, preparing them to be future entrepreneurs.

Ms. Gao Huan, office director of CIBE, introduced the rules and form of the real case competition for project planning involved in the Summer Camp, which will also be the climax of the Camp. After the icebreaking session of self-introductionamong campers, Prof. Liu Baocheng, director of CIBE delivered a inspiring speech focusing on the creative spirit of modern college students. “We found that in UIBE compared with Chinese students, foreign students are always more initiative in thoughts and more courageous to express their opinions.”He also elaborated that besides initiative spirit, a promising entrepreneur should also be well equipped with accountability to themselves and responsibility to the whole society.
“We are caught in the social fickleness, fooling many of whom to overvalue their initiative thoughts. We should face the reality which is not as easy as this. The pioneering work cannot be accomplished with just one action,” a camper said. “We should make good use this Summer Camp as a platform to learn more about how to transform an initiative idea into a real project. That’s the point.” |
