Second Day of the Summer Camp: An Icebreaking Trip
The campers of the Sixth Green Entrepreneurship Summer Camp enjoyed an icebreaking trip at an outdoor development base in suburb Beijing.
“The values of unity, friendship, wisdom and gratitude should be attached to great importance. The power of the team can be overwhelming when all the members unite together and make the move. You should demonstrate the power of ‘1+1>2’,” said the coach Hao of the base.
A series of warm-up games broke the wall among campers, teaching them not to damage the interests of the whole group while fulfilling their own objectives. After divided into two teams, the campers challenged themselves in “Trust Fall”, which is designed to build the trust of a member towards the whole group. With all the campers successfully overcoming the obstacles, they got the basic spirit of team-building and the faith in the each other as a team.
The “High Jump” activity in the afternoon aimed at helping campers to overcome the mental fear and build strong mental power. Although many campers were scared of the height and lacking of self-confidence when they were standing on the jumping stage, all of them made it with the encouragement of members and the genuine faith in themselves.
The one-day outdoor development trip was a precious platform for the campers to build a team of unity and power in a short period of time. The values of teambuilding embedded in the activities were the trust towards the team, the faith in oneself, the wisdom of sharing and the favorable culture for cooperation.
