Corporate Social and Media Responsibility
On Aug. 8th, 2015, a lecture titled Corporate Social and Media Responsibility was held by Yu Hongzhi, the editor of China WTO Tribune and Deputy Director of Center for Corporate Social Responsibility.
Mr. Yu pointed out that just as everyone has his own mission and responsibility, a corporation or media should also take its duty in the process of development. A corporation cannot take the “Grow first, clean up later” approach, which means that corporations shouldn’t pursue their own interests at the cost of others and the harmony of the society. For the media, they should follow the principle of seeking truth from facts, resisting the behavior of fabrications for the purpose of attracting more readers.
From Mr. Yu’s lecture, campers realized the responsibility of corporation and media and were aspired to take their own responsibility to make contributions to the society.
