May 28th, Dr. Stephan Rothlin, General Secretary for International Business Ethics Center, and Professor Liu Baocheng, Director of the Center for International Business Ethics, with the entire CIBE staff, traveled to Nanpi County of the Cangzhou City of Hebei province to attend the opening ceremony of the new Rothlin Primary School and bring teachers and students gifts in celebration of Children’s Day. During the ceremony, the honorable Chancellor of the Rothlin Primary School and Professor Liu Baocheng gave a warm speech encouraging the children to cherish all the good times and study hard to become talented members of society.
With everyone’s prayers, the students had a meaningful Children’s Day on the first of June. CIBE received thank-you notes saying: “We will not disappoint you and your expectations, and we will try our best to study and repay your care you gave us through our actions and donate our own loving hearts to society like you have done to yours.”
Respectful Professor Liu Baocheng and Headmaster Rothlin,
I’m Lu Hongye from grade six. Today, with great excitement, I’m writing this letter to thank you for all you have done to help us.
First, I want to say thank you very much. Your gift motivates me to study hard and get marvelous results in my examinations. I study hard to achieve excellent scores not for the grade but to not let you down. Every time I stand on the podium, I see your smiling face in my mind’s eye and make the decision that I will do my best next time, again!
On Children’s Day, we received your festival presents. Seeing the beautiful pencil boxes and notebooks, everyone wore a bright smile on their face. I’m very excited because it’s your spirit and loving heart that urge us to continue on our endeavors. You are like the spring rain and us the thirsty land; you are like the nutritious fertilizer and us: growing seedlings; we are growing healthy under your careful guardianship.
At last, I still want to say thank you very much! I am going to continue studying hard and not fail to live up to your expectations and eventually give back to society and the school as you have done. I will soon mail to you my perfect answer sheet!
