On Oct. 16-17, 2010, “The Inaugural Conference for The China Business Ethics Association” was ceremoniously held at Nanjing Normal University. This conference was sponsored by China Ethics Association and Nanjing Normal University. This conference passed through the “Guidelines for China Business Ethics Association”. During the conference, the first general council of The China Business Association Economic Ethics Professional Committee (China Business Ethics Association), elected Prof. Wang Xiaoxi as director. Additionally, Prof. Liu Baocheng, Prof. Hou Shengtian and 71 other professors were elected members to the council. This conference drew out a roadmap for the future tasks and development of The China Business Ethics Association.

The delegates had an academic discussion focused on “Chinese Economic Business Practices”. More than ten scholars gave separate speeches regarding several subjects, among which included, “Reflection about the Basic Theory of Economic Business and Ethics of Economic Development”, “Justice and Wealth Ethics”, “Corporate Ethics and Social Responsibility”, and “Ethical Examination for Financial Crisis”. All the scholars had active thoughts and novel standpoints, which lead to agreement on some issues and fierce, passionate discussions on others.
