[Dec.6th 2011, Beijing] In partnership with Luxembourg Embassy in China and People’s Government of Nanpi County, Hubei Province, Center for International Business Ethics (CIBE)at the University of International Business and Economics has organized a series of activities for artists from Nanpi County named as Xiang Tao Art Exhibition in the Luxembourg Embassy for 36 days, which wasfestively closed on Dec.6th 2011.These activities have promoted culture exchanges between China and Luxembourg, carried forward Nanpi’s Art of Calligraphy and Painting, showed livelihood of rural artists as well as with support for Education Development of Nanpi.
The Art Exhibition has exhibited paintings and calligraphies by 31 rural artists. Among these authors there was even a person of 80 years old, some rural women, art teachers of an elementary school, government officials, entrepreneurs from the countryside and professionalartists from the rural area who studied in Beijing. These artists showed their yearning and pursuit for beauty with various measures from different views. For this exhibition it could be said as a silhouette of the artists’ simple life and artists bringing simplicity, tranquility and calmness to this prosperous but busy world with their sincerity. The organizers held many visiting activities during the event as well as Piano Concert and invited art lovers to share this grand banquet with artists of Nanpi.
On the evening of the Closing Ceremony, both Mr. Carlo Krieger who is Luxembourg Ambassador and Professor Liu Baocheng who is the director of CIBE made wonderful speeches separately in which they sincerely expressed their congratulations to the success of this series of activities and appreciated those entrepreneurs, artists and workers all of who did hard work in this Art Exhibition, with the wishes that both Sino-Luxembourgculture exchanges and communications between artists and other people insociety would go further and more and more people could explore beauty and art in living and enjoy living with art. Doctor StephanRothlin, secretary general of CIBE, introduced a planning about spreading paintings and music in schools of Nanpi as well and he hoped activities like these could help students to get in touch with, understand and enjoy art, and at the same time, could explore new approaches for Quality Education in rural China. As thanks for outstanding contributions of artists, HisExcellency Carlo Krieger, Professor Liu Baocheng and Doctor Rothlin awarded certifications of donation to them.
In the following Yang Yunhui from Macrolink Group, a representative for entrepreneurs, shared his topic named How to Develop Charity in China and gave presents to Mr. Carlo Krieger and his wife. He stated that under the condition of Chinese unique economics and society Charity needs every benevolent person have spirit of innovation and cooperation and put what he/she get into practice while exploring, both of which could supplement each other and no one should less. The reason why needs innovation is that special environment and different focus should be coped with different measures while the reason for cooperation is that charity is not a piece of business for just one person, one company or one charitable institute which may not do well in the long run, as a result needing all the interested parties to make efforts. Thanks to CIBE and Luxembourg Embassy, the series of activities embodying innovation and cooperation set a good model to persons who are concern with charity, hoping that there will be more companies andindividuals taking part in charitable activities and making contributions to CHARITY in China.
Closing Ceremony finished in the music of a Better Life that was played by Professor Roberto Ribeiro, who is the director of Beijing Center for Chinese. All greatly enjoyed the guitar music and singing Prof Ribeiro performed in this night.
CIBE raised RMB52800in the Art Exhibition , all of which would be used for supporting Education of Nanpi except 20 percent of money that were returned to authors. CIBE will focus on charity and new trend of development of economical ethics as usual, making a contribution to harmonious development of the society with a responsible and optimistic attitude.

Center for International Business Ethics at the University of International Business and Economics (CIBE) was established on Dec.8th 2004 in Beijing.
