On October 26th, 2012, foreign friends from Switzerland, Germany and from other Eastern European countries visited the Rothlin Primary School in Nanpi County in the company of Dr. Stephan Rothlin, secretary general of the Center for International Business Ethics.
At around noon, Dr.Rothlin had lunch with local folk artists, where they had a profound discussion with them about the future of the traditional Chinese culture. Dr.Rothlin appreciated the contribution made by folk artists to education in Nanpi and to the development of traditional Chinese culture. He hopes that the artists will continue to support the folk culture website established by CIBE and continue to make great contributions to the local education. Dr. Rothlin invited Mr. Tian Yike, a research fellow of CIBE, to give a lecture on traditional Chinese culture to pupils in the Rothlin Primary School.
In the afternoon, Dr. Rothlin and the foreign friends visited the Rothlin Primary School and examined whether the water treatment and heating equipment previously donated by CIBE are in good condition. They also communicated with school leaders about the problems they are facing in running the school. Then they went to each class to talk to the pupils. To welcome the visitors the children performed gymnastic exercises. Affected by the warm atmosphere, the foreigners played the Penguin's game with children. Dr. Rothlin promised that CIBE will continue to support education in Nanpi County and that the Center will not spare any effort in order to create a good learning environment for children.
