August 30th-31st, 2013
Dumaguete City, the Philippines
Welcome to the “4th Educational Seminar: the Asian Dimension of Teaching International Business Ethics”. The seminar sets up an open platform for educators and practitioners of business ethics in the East Asian and Southeast Asian regions to discuss advances and methods in teaching International Business Ethics.
With the success of the previous seminars that were held for the past three consecutive years at the Ateneo de Manila University, this year’s seminar will focus on “Environmental Responsibility”, co-organized by the Center for International Business Ethics (CIBE) at the University of International Business & Economics (UIBE), the College of Business Administration of the Silliman University, the Gov Jose B Fernandez Jr. Ethics Center at the Ateneo de Manila University, and the Association of Asian Jesuit Colleges and Universities in the Asia-Pacific Region (AJCU-AP).. The seminar will take place at the Silliman University in Dumaguete City, the Philippines, on August 30th-31st, 2013.
The seminar will feature presentations on the environmental challenges facing Asian economies and societies, the most effective strategies and methods for teaching environmental responsibility, and opportunities for dialogue and mutual exchanges involving other contextual settings and cultural backgrounds. A diverse set of exciting parallel sessions will be organized to further explore the theme and important trends in these areas.
I sincerely hope that you plan to participate at the “4th Educational Seminar: the Asian Dimension of Teaching International Business Ethics”, whether as a presenter, author, or participant-observer. My colleagues and I at the CIBE look forward to welcoming you to the seminar and assisting your own development in this area of pedagogical inquiry.
