August 7th: we visited the Luxembourg Embassy.
Carlo Krieger, the ambassador, after giving us a warm welcome began his lecture. He made a general introduction about Luxembourg on its geography, economy, politics, population, culture and relationship with China. He also showed us Luxembourg’s beautiful scenery and thousands of castles. Mr. Krieger recommended purchasing the Schengen Visa when visiting. The Schengen Area now covers 26 European countries and has contributed to the increased economic and cultural communication between these countries.
Then, we had a little knowledge competition about Luxembourg. There were three winners, each receiving a nice gift.
Today’s visit broadened our horizon and informed us more about Luxembourg and the European Union. It was really great.
