Study on Global Compact

Study on the Performance of Chinese Participants in the Global Compact: 2009-2010

The UN Global Compact stands as the largest corporate citizenship and sustainability initiative in the world — with over 7700 corporate participants and stakeholders from over 130 countries. Conducting an in-depth study on the performance of Chinese participants in the Global Compact enables not only the promotion of Global Compact and its principles in China but also the integration of these principles into the management and operation of those enterprises.

Since August 2009, the Center for International Business Ethics (CIBE) has been conducting an empirical study on the performances of Chinese participants to obtain a more thorough understanding of the implementation of Global Compact principles. Surveys have been conducted during the preliminary stage and valuable data has been collected. The full report was presented as a paper in JIBE in mid 2010 to the related organizations and the public.
